Real Leaders Can’t Wait For Others

After giving hundreds of training sessions, and leadership development programs, over the at the end three decades, one of my greatest frustration is how many individuals ascend to positions of leadership not only ill prepared and inadequately qualified (for that can often be overcome if the individual is willing to both undergo and absorb specific leadership training), however have the "leaders must delegate" priority of leadership philosophy. While responsible delegation of duties is a proper and needed leadership trait, the difficulty arises when the "leader" refuses to step in, on a timely basis, to assure timely and necessary tasks be accomplished...
